Kia India is working on the facelifted Sonet compact SUV that has been spotted testing multiple times on the Indian roads. Ahead of the facelifted model, Kia has introduced the electric sunroof version of the Sonet compact SUV in the country. It is only available on the Sonet Smartstream G1.2 HTK+ variant and is available at a price tag of Rs 9.76 lakh.
The Kia Sonet has been one of the best-selling models in its category. The company has sold over 3.3 lakh units of the compact SUV since its inception in 2020. The sunroof has become one of the most important features that customers consider before buying a new car. The introduction of the electric sunroof could help Kia to further improve the sales of the Sonet compact SUV in the country.
The Kia Sonet sunroof variant is powered by a Smartstream 1.2-litre 4-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine that produces 83PS and 115Nm of torque. This variant is fitted with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment screen with Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, 4 speakers & 2 tweeters, fully automatic AC and automatic headlamps. Kia is also offering a 3 year maintenance and 5 year warranty coverage along with a zero down payment option.
Mr. Myung-sik Sohn, Chief Sales & Business Officer, Kia India, said, “Sonet’s journey has been defined by its ability to redefine norms and enhance drive experiences. With the addition of the electric sunroof to the Smartstream G1.2 HTK+variant, we are pushing the boundaries of luxury and value, catering to the discerning needs of our customers. This reaffirms our dedication to provide an exceptional Kia ownership experience that leaves a lasting impression.”
